Don't know if its just coincidence, but washed the bike yesterday and then found that my tach and all lights within that instrument are dead.

Everything else seems to work fine.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Mine does that all the time. Many have mentioned it's in the ignition switch. Turn it off and on a few times and it will most likely start working again.
Or, stick a tooth pick in the ignition to let some air in so it dries.

Check for a blown fuse!
Then I might have said
Must be a queer eletrode running around:roll:
Never had a issue with lightly dowsing the instrument cluster under a car-wash pressures; though I wouldnt blast for as long as to dislodge the dirt dobber nests; your beast had collected.

what the hell is a prop wand? (a piece of wood with a notch in the end, maybe to prop up the tank?)

When you get yours, you will see. When you sit on it, it will be to the rigth of your lower gas tank at the bottom, it comes in it's own little snap on holder.

To do just about anything on the Roc you have to lift the tank. The prop wand, in the afore mentioned location, is inserted into the hole where the front tank screw goes into and the other end fits into the bracket on the front of the tank. Just make sure that you've run down to about 1/2 tank or you will end up with fuel on the floor.

Don't listen to these nerds. The prop wand is for when you get around RUB Harley riders and they start rapping on the throttle, annoying your ears. You simply pull out your prop wand and wave it over them whilst tapping your toes on the footpegs 3 times. It causes them to get the sudden urge to park and suck the chrome off their pipes.:D
