Warning Lite - Oil lite stays on

It is possible to fit the non return valve in upside down when you are refitting the bottom sump plate. I do not know if it would stop the oil flow to the pump though.

Thought you had it off already - if you remove the front engine cover next, pop a plug out per cylinder, turn it over clockwise by hand via the 'nut' (clamping piece is what Triumph part name) on the crank nose, with a bit of oil in the tank, the spray bar (on the pressure pump) which squirts oil at the clutch should squirt some.. if not, you'll know that pump ain't getting/pumping oil.

After you have done all the checks and you have not found the problem .
I would remove the front of the engine ,remove the clutch basket to get to the oil pump.
Remove the 3 bolts on the pump and split the pump, remove and clean the oil pump filter screen from inside the pump, Wet the pump well with oil and put it back together, spin the pump CCW with a drill to check for oil flow at the oil sensor tapping point..

i was thinking of that my self but was unsure if that is possible
still needs a good check

Side cover is off - see pic
I will be removing the clutch basket next... Note: a small piece of Metal which to me was part of the locking washer (not sure was sitting on the bottom of the casing below the basket. See pic.

Great pictures, good luck.

You definitely have NO oil pressure. That whole exposed area should be dripping wet with oil, even after it's sat awhile. That looks bone dry. Don't try to run it anymore. It maybe too late.

We will see - the pics tell a troubling story - so I will need to order a new gasket for the front side, filter gasket, and what else after I took off the clutch basket something needed to be replaced at that time also.. what else do we need to look at while we have this apart.of gasket use - see attached picture:

I am on phone and do not reconize what is plugging the filter. Do u know what it is and where it came from?
U need to open pump and check for scratches and heat damage from lack of oil.
