Thanks for your input lads, but I have managed to find find a new seat and rest hiding in a couple of dealer shops.

Wow, lucky you!!! New Old Stock or used and what did they set you back and where from if you don't mind? Never know they may have some other bits and pieces of interest

I bought the seat $175 from Peter Stevens Melbourne and found a rest $299 at Lloyd Chapman Perth. Both were new, I think the seats are easily got but the supplier for the rests got a bit ambitious with the $$ so Triumph stopped using him. I would have thought they would find a new supplyer instead of discontinuing the line. I was told that the Mustang rests will fit, might be worth a look. There is still a rest in the Townsville shop

Off for a ride up to Shark Bay next break so with a bit of luck they will arrive in time. This break I did a loop around the Pilbara and back, 2500km in 2.5 days, strong head winds for a while and my arms were knackered. Dont like screens so will go with the rest.

You can get the touring seat from Pro motto Triumph for $172 and good luck with the backrest. Your better off making one yourself....

After your interest the Townsville shop listed it on eBay and it sold within hours.

I wonder if the usual big name seat makers also make OEM seat for some companies? You have to wonder about such things!
