I am looking for the mounting bracket for a Corbin "Dual Tour" seat T-R-3-DT that fits a non-touring R3 (my 2006). I bought a used seat, but it didn't have the bracket. Can't reach former owner. Corbin will not sell me one for liability reasons. I am willing to pay a reasonable price, otherwise I'll get one made. See picture of yellow part. Thanks for any leads!

p.s. I just bought this '06 R3, bone stock, 6,500 miles and wildly pleased at 41mpg (full tank ride, mostly highway) yesterday down CA PCH 1.

Hi I'm in the same boat how have you resolved the situation?

Hello Charles, you can buy a stock seat pin and forget that poorly designed bracket. The retrofit is relatively easy, make sure you get the rubber "washer" that goes with it, very cheap upgrade. The stock bracket is imho a piece of crap, looks bad ,puts sharp bits way to close to your paint, and requires you to carry an a hex key at all times or you cannot access under your seat. If I couldn't retrofit a stock pin on my rumble seat I would not use it, I have a bracket, yours for the cost of shipping , if you want , but I would not recommend it. I think , from your picture, they are the same

That's a great surgestion I will have a look at my stock seat on the morning. If Charles has sorted himself out could I purchase the bracket from you? In your opinion does this bracket carry any weight or is it just there to maintain the seat position? Thanks Paul

Hi Guys,
Thank you both! I think that I am saved by PO saying they have the bracket and will send it. I never found a Corbin spare bracket.

PJ,
The stock seat pin was brilliant and I would have liked having it lockable, but easily removable (key turn vs. screwed-on).

I'll grab that bracket if it is still available?
That was 4 years ago! Good thread though. I just sold one of these seats with bracket to @ChrisACT and he may prefer the spigot mount method for ease of use.

@HansO offered his and now that his Mistress has gone to heaven and the Corbin Dual went with it he may still have his cross bar bracket still lying in his shed.;):D

Easy enough to make from the yellow example at the start of the thread. The measurements are all on your bike and seat anyway.;)

i Had this problem some years ago, I bought a spigot like the one on my original seat from Triumph. Put the spigot on the catch with blue tack on top places the seat on the top pushed hard. Released the catch with the key. The spigot I in the right place so rivited it to the seat. Been like that for about five years without issue. Work like the original seat.

Really struggling to find the locking pin? Seem to find heaps of the female latch part but no male lock pin?
Do you know if there is a part number or even a link to one would be good!
