Want one...NEED one!

PS Cranberry , nice choice for your avatar ..I've got that RIII saved in my favourites, great looking bike .

The R3 models are pretty mature now, been on the market for a decade, so Triumph has sorted out most of the teething issues. If you can find a 2013 bike left over for cheap, jump on it.

Check out Corbin's beetle bags for the R3R, I think they look fantastic. They're probably meant as more permanent mounts though, and decidedly on the spendy side!

Think he said he wants to set his bike up like his avatar .. no beetle bags on that as far as I can see. Of course I could be completely utterly wrong and that's just my own personal understanding of what I thought I read that he said ... in his post :sneaky:

Yeah, but he also said he wanted panniers he could put on for trips, and I'm not familiar with the Corbins so not sure how much of a pain they are to put on/ take off. They're clearly superior to the leather bags Triumph provides in other ways, though.

Why do you think "they are clearly superior to leather bags" when you state you're " not familiar with the Corbins" .. seems a strange assumption to make , don't you think?

I think the Corbin bags look stupid on a Rocket. Just my opinion, so no one get upset. The OP said he was after a more naked look and wanted quick release luggage. Why would he want to make it look like a Winnebego? One thing I really like about leather bags - and the Triumph bags are better than any I've seen - is that they give a little and you're not constrained by their exact dimensions.

The only downside of falling into the torque hole is, it is bottomless. No matter what you say, you will always feel the need to go after more power regardless of what you do or how much you spend. For years I said, "I will be satisfied if I have a bike with over 200hp." Well, I just got mine out of the shop again. Presently ~250hp and already looking for more.
