After the RAA east event and listening to differing members opinions on pipes and mods I’m leaning towards the @Paul Bryant pipe and just a stage one for now. Torque biased cams by Nevil Lush could be in the future. On my mountain roads here in TN, KY and VA the high reving Carpenter system may be unusable most of the time. I did not want to hear this from guys like Warp but I had to admit it is true.

My question is who is running this pipe and what do you like or not like about it? How much does it cost? Is it difficult to get to the states? Does he offer different pipes and does he make a muffler for the header. It like a total exhaust system and prefer a deep tone similar to the TORS that I have on it now.

You might ask him -- we all did.

It's really what you want, and only you know that, and you are your best spokesperson.

A number of folks have his header, and something else out back.

Some folks have his pipes all the way back in different configurations.

So no simple answer here.
 
I just installed pauls cross over pipe and the workmanship is fantastic and the sound is great ( I have D&D pipes) . With the ram air the performance this bike has picked up with his cross over is crazy . His header is definitely my next step!!! **** and another rear tire....
 
Drop in Street Cam, heavier clutch springs, and a viking header would make for a very fun bike!
 
You can run the Viking header with your TORS if you want. I did until I attached the the supertrapp muffler. With the TORS removed however the bike feels more agile... less weight.
 
I was about to ask if no one with Viking header showed up at RAA East... I thought I read Mully was there, did you miss hearing his?

I honestly can't hear my exhaust over the Ramair to weigh in on the sound.
 
I have sent him a pm. I was thinking Carpenter but Warp 9.9 has changes my mind. He rode with me for two days at the RAA event and he made a good point that our riding conditions were better suited to a torque biased motor. That is not what wanted to hear but had to admit that he was right. Listening to Steel was going the other way and I still lust for ultra high hp but the intelligent side of me knows Warp and Speedy are correct.

What is “street cam”? I might go on to a Barnett clutch but at least springs for sure. Wished you could have come to the RAA east.

Your pipe is the one that sold me. I was not such a fan of you muffler choice but that is just a sound preference. Are you saying you can run that three into one header into a single TORS? I do want a three into one system like you have.
 
Check with Lushy, he does a nice drop in, bolt in cam, that requires pretty much the absolute minimum amount of fuss to get working right.

Price is good, if I recall right it's good for about 8-10 whp, paired with a good header it'll make fantastic power across the whole RPM range.

Honestly, I'd strongly suggest the Carpenter clutch springs. Much stronger than others, but not horrid on the hand.

Regarding riding twisties and torque placement, really its about this:
Do you want to EXPLODE out of corners or smoothly accelerate out. 99% probably just want a good rush of torque on the way out of the corner, for those who want to launch off the corner exit, high RPM power is the way to go. 60mph through a tight corner, rolling on quickly as you apex and hitting full throttle just as you start to stand the bike up in 2nd gear on an incredible experience, one I reckon would scare a lot of people off the bike, and one that will easily end in a high side if not done smoothly!
