Hey all. When I bougth my bike it had some vibrations at 3200 rpm. A long the way I got used to that ! But today when I was out riding I discovered a new vibration area. Now also at 3900 rpm. It's beginning to suck  I can feel it in the hole bike when I accelerate, specially in the handlebars. The bike got 7400 miles on the clock. Have any of you experienced similar vibrations and if yes did you then tighten something and fixed the problem or did you found something broken or cracked?? Or does'nt your bike have any vibrations at all? I'm a little nervous if something is about to brake down :(

Since my other bike is a '70 Bonnie I may be incapable of recognizing any but the most extreme vibrations. I have 10,000 miles on an '04 and I rarely ride at one throttle position. (Not smooth, hard on gas, hard on the brakes). I have not noticed any particular vibration.

Thanx for your answer. I'ts not because I exactly do "grand dad driving" my self ! But I can feel the vibrations every time I pass 3200 and 3900 rpm in an acceleration.

vibrations in the low 3000 rpm range is common to Rockets... My first one did that before the accident, the new one does not.... If you put peformances tunes in the bike, it will tend to vibrate more in my experience....

Mike...

it has something to do with it being a tripple ;) not sure of the technical detail but seems to happen to all the triples ;)

Also, all bikes are going to have "harmonics" individually characteristic to that bike, and on top of that, the R3's powerplant concludes the frame which can only result in a bit more vibration.

:D I agree when I rode mine at first especially at 3500 rpm I thought is that right ? vibration felt through the bike and again very slightly at 4500 rpm but dissapears immediately rpm is increased, the Triple engine is a wonderful thing, I now make sure I accelerate as fast as I can through those two harmonics so I dont notice as much. :D :D :D

I've never noticed any vibration on mine that causes discomort, or for that matter even noticable, i just knocked up 200 ks today in the twisties all through the rev range, no probs.
I would find someone else with a rocket or take a demo rocket out to feel the difference, it doesnt sound right to me, good luck.
Wayne.

Thanx for all your answers. My conclusion is that it's quite normal for a triple. The funny thing is that when I was out riding yesterday, the vibrations in the 3900 rpm area was suddenly gone ! Well dont want to get all grey hairy worrying over things that are maybe normal...gotta go out riding my Rocket. Once again thanx. Youre the best :D :D :D
