As I drive three teenage girls to school and back every day. It's nice to have them captive to talk to them and have a laugh..

cant ride the bike to the rig on some of these remote locations but have ridden from home to the bunkhouse/camp to midland texas/ liberal Kansas/Roosevelt Utah/and beyond looked like a homeless person work clothes/street clothes/food utensils/bedding for up to 2 weeks tied onto the back

I ride to work everyday, since the weather broke I have been putting miles on the bike instead of the truck.
I am at 4000 miles for the last 2 months of riding.

I class myself as lucky as i have a 200klm per day round trip to work , im actually considering working more Saturdays so i can spend more time in the saddle, am i sick do i need counseling ?

How many other members ride their rockets to work ? Interested to know if anyone else travels further than me to work

I spent more time idling, while waiting to get on base then I do riding.

I haven't ridden a bike to work since January 1988. On the 30 years ago thread I said I've had 2 big accidents in my time photo's of the first one are on that thread. The second one happened one Saturday morning when I was working down the coast operating a backhoe on the Bond Uni site. I stopped at a red light on the Nerang - BroadBeach rd, the sun was just coming over the horizon it was right in the middle of the road. Last thing I remember was stopping at the red light in the right hand lane near the centre island. I put my right foot on the island and woke up in Southport Hospital that afternoon. An 18 year old girl in a HQ Holden didn't see me, the red light, the intersection, took me out said she was doing 80kph. I was unconscious and had no I.D. on me. The cops traced my rego and rang Julie, she was at the hospital for half a day waiting for me to regain consciousness. So I've been over a car twice, once forwards and once backwards. While I was recovering and rebuilding my bike I got out of the earthmoving industry and started driving trucks. No need to start your bike when you drive your work home. Been driving trucks home ever since walk out into the shed past the bike and the 4x4 and get in the truck 5 days a week.
