R3GT'25
Just got totally new '25 R3GT, keeping it in rain mode for a few weeks.

Found that when I am in 4th gear, around 1700rpm, 34-36mph, the bike kind of pulses, the engine sound and kind of come-and-go feeling. Happens even under slight acceleration in that range. I don't think the engine is lugging there. The RPM gauge doesn't show the RPM change consistent with the pulsing.. I'd say it feels like it is pulsing like once a second, kinda woo-woo.

Doesn't seem to be doing it in other gears..

Thoughts?

stock standard the ECU is held back significantly, especially in rain mode. what you are feeling is the ECU muting fueling and throttle inputs. pulsing or stuttering are accurate words to describe the engine feedback. In short, all is normal…

best wishes

Tried a different mode (road). Same.

Talked to the dealer. They didn't do a test ride, basically told me that I short-shift it, that the forth gear should not see such low speeds...

Not really speeds... rpms. Keep it happy between 3k to 4k when no riding hard

Mine makes vibration at 4th gear when accelerating in certain rews. It's like roar roar roar... It has been always like that. Quite annoying and trying to avoid that using other gears more. Couple days ago i lifted the bike and let it run at idle wheel spinning in every gear. When i change to fourth, the noise was embarrassing. It is also in other gears, but from 3rd to 4th is was big difference.

Has anyone lifted the bike and tried? Does your bike make such a noise? While driving it doesn't make raddling like that. Could it come from drive shaft? Is that normal? It sounds like coming from front end of it.

Not sure why folks would suggest ride mode, since the load is the same so commanded throttle would be the same (it would just require more twist at the grip). I agree with the dealer. I'm never in 4th below 40 MPH, usually 45+, because it's not smooth below that.

There's virtually no load if the wheel spins freely, so it's going to make (more) noise when lifted. As for the "roar roar" when riding, it could be a harmonic.
