On the subject of performance with the snorkle off, I heard SOMEWHERE that removing the seat while the bike was on the dyno was an instant 3 HP. I'm sorry I can't remember the source but I am sure it is second hand. Might have been a comment from Paul Harrington from Jardine a long time ago. Can't be sure. Don't know if I got this right but I suspect the under seat ducting is a problem area, especially if some of us larger Captains are sitting on the seat and crushing the ducting flatter!!
