Just wondering about removing the air breather ductwork from the bottom of the seat. Should be less restrictive. Any negative effects from doing so?

No negs are far as I have seen , as for benefits , who knows , its got to breathe a little better with it removed .

Had removed it after the first maintenance.
7500 miles without it now and no problem.
Seems to breathe a little better without that "schnorkel" :wink:

ductwork
It does run better with all the ductwork removed. I use a big UNI filter under the tank and it draws a lot of air. Have to clean the filter a bit more often and oil it up after it drys good.

This backfiring usually occurs when blipping the throttle during decelleration when a lean condition is encountered. I noticed it after installing the cat by pass.

It will do it stock as well. My Harley has always done it. It' s just a hiccup (character).
