Long boring story shortened to a short boring story ....
Dealer said engine was scrap ... metal everywhere etc etc
Triumph say it's not as a plastic guide / tensioner failed - they say through bad workmanship, not through a faulty part.
Triumph have said they will supply the bit / bits though they are not obliged to because the first fault was sorted and the second was possibly due to the first not being done right.
Dealer doesn't want to do it 'cause they have to sort the labour cost out - tough titty.
Bike is currently at Leicester Stratstone where some mechanical God who used to build R3 engines at the factory is wafting his magic hands over the broken bike.
I was told by Triumph warranty on Tuesday 7th Sept it would be "about a week".
.... I won't hold my breath there!
