tyre trouble

Well no dealers open on easter long weekend it seems...nearest car tyre that can be fitted is almost halfway home so I might take my chances - I'll see how it looks at the halfway mark.

Shame there's not a 160km long left hand sweeper to get me home, plenty of meat left on that side!

Dam! Never heard of a rider being cited for a lousy bald tire before!
That's the first thing the Police check after the license and drug and alcohol roadside tests ,they almost always run their paws over the tyres to check thread depth if not correct they will defect your car, bike, truck or what ever , it's an easy kill for them and a PITA for you, new tyre and getting the defect removed by an Authorised Person , the Police in NSW have an on board Number Plate Recognition System in their cars that gives out details on any car it flags as unregistered or reported stolen' or a person of interest as the registered owner ,"Big Brother is Watching"

WOW!
Our major city police have that recognition system as well; but, as far as I know it's used for more serious things than chicken $hit traffic citations! After learning of the bikie issues in QLD, I am beginning to think that your coppers are heavy handed buffoons. They do tend to get this way when NO one but them have guns.

Don't know if the recent Nevada cow rancher, Cliven Bundy versus the government's Bureau of Land Management incident has hit your news; but, it's a good example of what kind of government is brought on by a socialism agenda.
I be VERY sorry to hear/learn of so much motor rider repression in OZ; BUT, I still want to visit one day!

Yeah the bastard's. And they are very sneaky. Yesterday I saw an unmarked police ute complete with tradie racks for ladders etc. But inside the car was the red and blue lights and computer system.

Come on over mate.

If you want to see how tires take a licken and keep on ticken come to Sturgis SD.. I've always wondered if any of those smokers made it home without any issues...Those cops would have a field day out there.

I got pulled over on my Rocket last Saturday, the cop was a friend of mine and he just wanted to invite me over to his house to help him work on his bikes and to help him drink a lot of alcohol. I hope all my future traffic stops happen this way!

Thats crazy - he still had some of the rim to go.....

The spinning around while burning rubber was impressive - the rest was just stupid IMO
Wonder how many carcinogens were inhaled from all that rubber smoke?
