Our friends that are going with us are counting down too! Everytime they see us they say "Lets go we're ready to go".
Bear bought him a new fuel efficient car last week (in time for this trip). He says his kids and everyone he has known for years are laughing at him. But it has lots and lots of room inside for him and most important it gets good gas mileage. It is a Honda Element. The trip will be too soon after his surgery and he can't take any sudden bumps and we all know how bad our bikes can take a bump sometimes. Not very good at all. Especially if your are having back issues. He has to wear his brace until middle or end of September. So he will be trailing along behind us in his new cage. He has been doing really well with this surgery. Hope he does well with this trip.
Not sure how much "support". Don't even know how he is going to handle the trip. The ride up there may be more than he thinks and have to stay at the motel most of Saturday. We went to San Angelo last Saturday and spent most of the day there eating and shopping. Sunday he was down and a good part of Monday he was still paying for it. But he is really trying to go cause he knows how much it means to me to get to do this. We haven't done much of anything in over a year because of his back and we are really needing to get out and have some fun. I am just glad he finally got the surgery done. Maybe by next Spring he will be back in the saddle, so to speak and we can do stuff again. We used to ride every weekend 500 to 1,000 miles. That was so much fun.
