TuneECU R3T Jardines map wanted

yes but it is in.dat extension and I cannot convert to .hex

Oops, sorry I missed the TuneECU part. You might try sending Powertripp a PM. He has been working with TuneECU and may have something you can use.

I spoke too quickly the holy grail is not here yet, but I will follow your advice

Tune for R3T + Jardines

I am looking for a TuneECU map for R3T with Jardines underseat filter (K&N) Can't locate one on the site.
Any help would be appreciated

Hopefully I can help:

Had my Rocket 3 Touring on the Dyno with Tuneboy.
Two weeks ago I placed the Jardines which I found to loud ( as wel as Mrs Rocket...)
At the tuners place they produced a pair of DB Killers which work well and only took away 4 Bhp of the runs without the killers.
The machine was running far to lean so I was happy that I went over to get it tuned because it could have caused severe damage when driving long time at high speed.

Finally they stopped at a performance off:
152.5 BHP at 5461 RPM
225.8 Nm at 2819 RPM
225 km/ 140 Miles per hour (limited with tuneboy)

Jardines
Triple KN filters
Secondairies removed
Gipro installed

It runs very nice and gets off like a Starfighter.
I placed some films on you tube so you can see the results of the tuning and the sound of the Jardines with the Killers.

Tovami has no problem making a few sets of the Killers again ( they measured the size) off the Killers for those who think the Jardines sound to loud on a Touring) for those who are interested. ( Tovami: testbanken voor motoren, auto's en karts )
If you need help just let me know. They will charge $ 60,- a set without transport.

I used Tune ECU to read the tune and saved it ( hex file ) so you can use Tune ECU to get it in the Bike. I also sent it to Alain the producer of TuneEcu.
I will also put ( try) to get the original tuneboy tune attached.
Good Luck.
With TuneEcu you can compare the tune you have in and this one to see the difference. I also send the tune to Alain the producer of TuneEcu, maybe he will put on his site.
The hex file is for TuneEcu, the Dat file for Tuneboy ( but off course you Guys allready knew that)

Good Luck with it and hopefully I saved you a few Bucks.
The Tuning costed € 395.- is $295.

What are you using the Gipro for with Tuneboy other than a gear indicator? Was your dyno work done in 4th gear? I see your sspeed limiter is at 140 and that would effect it in 5th gear showing that power. I see your torque is in Nn's. What is that in Ft lbs?
Also, are you running the small RU2780's under the BC?
Bruce just had SG's Tourer on the dyno and with TB, he unrestricted it, set the max speed on the limiter, opened dthe secondaries and his bike got 155 lbs of torque. His RWHP was around 139.
his bike is stock except for the Jardines. I told him he could pull more HP with the triples but the torque is where it's at. More mower than the bike needs.
If anyone is running a stock tourer with just the Jardines, I'm sure this tune can be shared.

Frank,

I have the 3 KN's installed under the BC.
225 NM is roughly 166 Ft/lbs ( Google)
I assume the tune is in 5th Gear ( I attached the results underneath)
The Jardines are open exhausts ( no cat) which will increase the power quit a bit and also the Noise, that's why I placed the DB Killers in. Noise is much better know.
This tune will anyway make sure you are not running to Lean.

Are those corrected numbers? If so, a great job and seem almost too high. The 166 torque just doesn't make sense to me. The Preds exhaust are getting up to 163 ft lbs.
Anyway great numbers. Watch that narrow rear tire.

Just did some pretty extensive dyno work on my Roadster witrh Jardines, BC removed running RU1770's, Tuneboy with tuneedit and a base tune of Matty's by Wayne. (the original tune for the Roadster)
I was able to get 159.99 lbs of torque and 155.14 RWHP.
I guess I'm jealous.
BTW, if in 5th gear, those numbers would show around 170+ MPH. Couldn't have dyno'd in 5th or the speed limiter would have caught it at 140. Probably 4th gear. It's good for about 145+ MPH.
Again, not just good , but fabulous numbers.

Only the second fastest in the quarter mile needs to be jealous.

Hai Tom,

I saw that when I loaded the tune in with TuneEcu. On the Dynorun the limit was 225Km.
I can raise the limit with Tune Ecu wasy to 225. Is it wise to overwrite the dat tune ( which is in now) for the Hex file? ( I saved the dat file into hex file )

The dyno run clearly shows the speed at 225.
It is not that important ( I want to keep the Windshield on) but strange.
