TuneECU .... free tuning software

Greetings to all,

In Tune-ecu version 1.8.5 the ignition tables are I1-I2-I3-I4 and the consensus of opinion was that I1 was for neutral. In version 1.9.5 the ignition tables are I1-I2-I3-I(N) The I-4 or I(N) table in both tune ecu versions is drastically different to the others.I know the question has been asked before, but which "I" table relates to which gear ? I know that some others have copied the tables from I-4 to I-3 and I-2 believing that I-1 was for neutral, but perhaps this is incorrect.Maybe Powertripp can shed some light on the subject.
I posed the same the question to Alain from tune ecu but haven't had an answer as yet

Looking at 20222, I1 is neutral in 1.8 and I(N) is the same table in 1.9.

So in 1.9, the order is N, 1,2,3

In the I1-I4 order: I1 is neutral,I2 is first, I3 is second, and I4 is used in third, fourth and fifth gear.

Dougl,
in version 1.9.5 which is the latest I(N) is what the old I-4 was in the earlier version so which is the correct table for neutral, i'm confused

Duncan

Here is the answer by Alain:

v 1.8.5 -> v1.9.5

Rocket III & Classic

I1 -> I(N)
I2 -> I1
I3 -> I2
I4 -> I3

Rocket III Roadster & Touring

I1 -> I1
I2 -> I2
I3 -> I3
I4 -> I(N)

for Daytona & Street 675 the I (gear) are indicated in the I name.

No, I(N) in v1.9 is the same as I1 in v1.8. I just checked it again for the 17th time.

The tables are just listed out of order in 1.9. I(N) is listed after I3 - it should come before I1.

Hi dougl,

Unfortunately, this only fits for the maps of RIII and the Classic.
For the Roadster & Touring is really confusing.

v 1.8.5 -> v1.9.5

Rocket III Roadster & Touring

I1 > I1 Neutral
I2 > I2 1st gear
I3 > I3 2nd gear
I4 > I(N) 3rd to 5th gear

I do not know why Alain has not done the same for all R-models.

Only for Roadster
Old > new
I1 > I1 Neutral
I2 > I2 1st gear
I3 > I3 2nd gear
I4 > I(N) 3rd to 5th gear

I do not know why Alain has not done the same for all R-models.

What a mess!

Thanks fellas, I should have said that I have a roadster, no wonder i am confused, Tom is Alain going to fix this in the next update ?
Dougl I agree "what a mess"
