Tune ECU question

Just wondering why the touring ECU will not accept all the tunes I see on here?

Cant you just copy/paste the F and I tables if there is a tune that closely matches what you have into the tables?

Worked on many tuning softwares for awhile and before I dive into my stock 13 just wanted to make sure I wasnt doing something bad!!

Yes I am aware of that. The question I wanted to know was if I could copy/paste the trims for the fuel and ignition into either/or maps. Or is that what you meant by base? Say in F1 at TP 15% and 7000RPM it says 4205 in that cell. If that is stock setting on a 2013 rocket touring that cell has different number if I look at a map from say a R3R?

There is a REALLY good tune for the R3T done by PowerTripp a couple of years back and made available to us. If you ask @HansO nicely then he will probably send it to you.

There is a Tripp tune for Touring on the TuneECU web site:



You can't load a Roadster tune into the Touring but the tables conform. I don't know if anyone has done this or whether it will mess up the ECU but, I opened the stock touring tune (20367) and then loaded the Roadster tune for TORs (20776) with the compare function. I toggled back and forth with the F6 key and copied every table in 20776 into the touring tune.

R3T derestricting

That gets you up to about 140 hp, so you're pretty much at parity with a stock Roadster. To get more than that you need to replace your air filter and do something to the exhaust (finding full systems for the Touring is a bit of a challenge...) and then put the bike on a dyno.

But the above tune is a revelation for the Touring. It doesn't really rev willingly past 4k at all stock - put this thing in there and it pulls like a freight train up past 5500 as it should.

I already have the TORS and ramair(Just need to install the ramair), plan on getting the Viking header and cat box delete ordered here shortly. That is why I was asking the questions about the tunes. Im a HP junkie!

The trips tune will be to lean with the ram air, and if you do a header replacement you will need a dyno. Maybe talk to @HansO to see if he has something to accommodate you.
