I think this will clash with the Lions Rd TT if it happens but It might interest some of the SE QLD owners.

October the 18th the ASPHALT DEMONS have their Archer Field hotrod and bobber race day on .. You'd love it Bruce. The winning bike and car get to drag-race a tiger moth along the length of the airstrip. Fundraiser the Demons run every year for Angel Flight. We'll be over for this one again this year... hope some of the Brissy guys can make it , it's a great weekend out Woodford way ;)

Will you and Catherine be at Woodford or Archerfeild? The weekend of the 18th clash's with the Lockier 300 off road race. The last round of the Australian off road championship. A good mate and his son go pretty good in this. I was thinking of going out there at least 1 day that weekend. I'll have to see what happens. A few pictures of Mick and Jae.

The photo's on 2wheels are at the Griffith 400 the pic's in mid air are at the Goondawindi 400 last weekend.

Archer Field is a private airfield out the back of Woodford mate. We'll be going to the weekend , grab a room at Woodford Motel probably .. most camp out there for the weekend. They have a couple of rock-a-billy bands playing at night time .. and crazy grass track drags all day. it's a great do. Lot of the ASHPHALT DEMONS are Sandgate blokes.

Will get a flyer and whack it up on here when I get a chance.

I don't know if this will work. If it does it's thanks to Wrecka. This is Mick and Jae at the Gundy 400 week before last, they are in with the best off road racers in Australia. On the 8 klm prolog track they qualified 4th for the 400 klm race. Unfortunatly on the first 80klm lap of 5 on Sunday due to still running a wet sump and a new high volume oil pump and Jae not keeping a close eye on the guages they destroyed the engine. I went round to see them today had a look at the bits that fell out when they took the sump off. It was their spare engine but still over $10 grand damage. Mick said a dry sump kit is on it's way from the USA. Hes had this buggy 4 years and has spent that time getting it and himself up to the top level. Trouble is like all of us he's getting older and doing 220 kph through the bush isn't an old mans game

Thats one mean paddock basher

wow I bet they need a chiropractor after one those events that was pretty hard core

Not much room for error at 200 kph when your tyres are only in contact with the ground half the time. Micks done this all his life, navigated for his mother when he was young, then drove for a while. When his kids were young he got into hillclimb at mt Cotton in an AWD Subaru. He still holds the lap record at mt cotton for AWD road car. His bussines is Scorpion Subaru specialising in high performance subaru's. When Jae was old enough to navigate he got back into Pro Buggies. He runs a Subaru engine with a massive turbo on it. He's finally got it sorted and is up there with the best in Aust. Small world to, he knows Trevor at CES, said Trevor was one of the first to make performance pipes for turbo Subaru's that worked.
