Triumph to celebrate 100 years of the Rocket 3 with special owners event at Elvington Airfield

Not buying leathers, so not worth it. I have the new storm 3 r, but as I’m still doing the breaking in, wanted to thrash one of their bikes.
Put your 2 piece on and wrap middle up in duct tape.....

Thinking a bit more about it, I think i'll wear my full leathers and use my full face lid etc...when I go, just in case there's a slot available to try out the new Storm.
I might be in the mood for a full on drag strip burn out, when I get up there....🚀

Well, if work doesn't get in the way (not looking like it will at the moment) and the weather, like you say, is acceptable, i'll be heading up there to cheer you on.

Probably going to pick up the M18 at the southernmost end and head towards Goole. M62 then B1228.
If you fancy hooking up for some the run up there, just shout....
Sorry for the late reply, Yes, that sounds like a plan, that route also misses out the road works on the A1. I've been reading further down this thread, with reference to wearing full leathers if you want to ride the runway. I can't get in mine anymore, so spectator it is.

Ok.....I'm assuming you'll be coming up the M1 from the south and would also be hooking into the M18 at the bottom end.....in which case, this could be as good a place as any for a meeting point......Mc Donald's

I'm the A1 side of Nottingham, could we do these services on the M18

Moto Doncaster North

Sure. That works fine for me also.
I think you've probably got more info about the event than what i've got, so if you want to suggest a time for meeting up prior to the run up to Elvington, that would be good.
Hi, The only info I have is that the gates open at 08:30 and it's free entry, unless you want to ride the runway.

Taken from the mail sent to me, Gates open at 8.30am and we’re aiming to have the first bike away at 10.30am after a generic safety briefing for all who are there beforehand.

I won't be riding on the day, I've tried fitting into my one piece and zip together leathers, not a chance :D with this in mind there's not much point in me getting there before 10:30.
According to Google maps, it should take around 50 mins to ride there, do you want to meet at the services for 09:30?

Oh, and the weather forecast is looking good.

Hi Rufus,
Yes, that sounds about right for me also.
Let's just confirm that all is ok on Tuesday evening.

@Rufus Roughcut
I'm still intending to go up to the event, so i'll aim to get to the services just south of Thorne (Moto Doncaster North) for 09:30.
