Hi all,

Does anyone have the tappet adjusting tool and can you postr pictures and dimensions so i can make one? i work at an engineering college so i should be able to get it done easy enough and if possible maybe a few extras if folk need em?

Also the triumph computer. Does anyone have one? how much do they cost? or is it better to buy one of these tuneboy things?

Thanks

Dazzy

Triumph don't list a tappet adjusting tool. They say you gotta measure, lift the cams, adjust shims.

Would be a bloody great thing to have but looking at the tappet shapes, I can't see how you'd make one. :?:

arse that sounds like a ball ache. i thought it would be like the old hinckley 3 cylinders.....

so.... what shape are the shims then????

No way to replace a shim with cam in place. But shims are the same as on older Hinckley bikes.

I have a tappet adjusting tool for the older generation pushrod twins but as Ruzzle said they are now shim adjusted.
