Standard Bore
When I got the bike the bumps were pretty harsh. I could not tell if either needed adjustment. So I set the suspension to the softest setting on both preload and compression on front and back. I noticed improvement on all bumps. I have taken it out on some nice curvy roads and handling seems fine. I am curious about your suggestion though and may increase rebound damping a bit to see if the ride gets even smoother. If you are not bottoming out the shocks on any bumps, then you don’t need to add preload. You can stiffen up the suspension by increasing the rebound damping.
