Triumph now recommends Castrol?

I don't know man, they made a deal with Metzler too ... if that wasn't a shady deal then I don't know what they look like anymore.

It seems this drop in high pressure additives was an inside deal to make the stock cats in cars last 100,000 miles. Then all of a sudden many high revving OHC cars started breaking valvetrain components running oils with the newest ratings. Especially those that switch to a higher lift cam profile at higher rpm.

If you are into vintage vehicles, do not even think of running the new oils in engines flat tappet cams - hydraulic or mechanical.
