That would be fine, except that the latest standards require less high pressure additives... not good for cams and buckets. Even M1 4T has less moly, zinc, calcium, phosphates, etc. than it did 2 years ago.
It seems this drop in high pressure additives was an inside deal to make the stock cats in cars last 100,000 miles. Then all of a sudden many high revving OHC cars started breaking valvetrain components running oils with the newest ratings. Especially those that switch to a higher lift cam profile at higher rpm.
If you are into vintage vehicles, do not even think of running the new oils in engines flat tappet cams - hydraulic or mechanical.
