TRIUMPH EXPLORER ANYONE OWN ONE

I can hardly wait to see a CT on an Explorer!!! :p

On a serious note: ya may take a gander at the Honda VFR1200X.
My bro got one and tis a fast well handling bike with all the stability stuff.
:rolleyes:yeah been looking at 4x4 tyres .. as if:cautious::roll::roll:
the Honda X are too much road orientated as are lot of others

Hans - Just one thought - I think (iirc) the 1200XC has a tamper-proof ECU.
not worried it already has 137HP, don't need more than that on a dirt road thanks if I feel the need for more there is always a PCV with Auto Tune and a bit of creativity on my behalf:whitstling::sneaky:

A mate has one and loves it. Keeps up with the sports bikes in the twisties and is comfortable. TC has one of the older models, he bought it last year.
@ROCKETHEAD Dave had a 1200 trophy, fully faired with all the bells and whistles and he was hard to keep with when we were riding the twisty stuff around Marble Falls at RAAX when I was in the states, he loved it and mention how easy it was in the twisty stuff, the 1200 Trophy uses the same motor and in the same state of tune as the Explorer

pretty sure they are locked actually as a lot of Triumph ECU's were locked from 2013 onwards

Hans,
I was referring to the Honda VFR1200X that I had spoke of earlier.
Apologies for the confusion.

I knew that but it is not what I want I have owned a 1998 VFR800 (last of the gear drive cams) and the V4 are a sweet motor but keen on how Honda has made them much more complex with the electronically controlled Variable valve system, if they were still using the bullet proof gear drive cams I would have one in a flash

Let me know what you think Hanso when you test one out. Heck maybe try a 800 also and report.
