Trip and clock reset

Do you have tuneboy or tuneecu ? If yes, you could hook up, see what the fault is and clear it. If not, you could try un-hooking the battery cable for a minute. I believe that will clear past faults as well.

Thanks. I actually went for a ride and ten minutes into the game it reset itself. I'm good to go!

Is this the end of the thread!!! Does anyone know I guess the shorted hand grip was the problem, he replaced the fuse and his clock and Trip meters don't reset anymore? I'm having the same problem with clock and Trip meters but don't have heated grips and the last time I checked, all the fuses were good I even took them all out and cleaned the contacts with a wire brush and contact cleaner, I have a new post of trip meters and clock resetting when key off. I think I caused my problem by disconnecting speedometer instruments without disconnecting battery, a lot of stuff stopped working on the instrument panel and got the error code 0500 speed sensor replaced it and everything came back except the clock and Trip meters reset everytime I switch the key off and on, I'm thinking something else fried in the ECU, haven't checked for constant voltage to instrument panel, all in one on tank R3T 2008 have to see if I can make out the wiring diagram, but I know just enough about electricity to get me in trouble, will continue probably after next weekend maybe when I get around to tracing voltage or short or whatever, hope it's not a $800 mistake and a new ECU, I'll live without it for that.
