Transmission Fun The One Thing I Hate

So.... may 2nd I made the first post when I noticed the problem.
May 3rd it went to the dealer as I recall.

I MAY end up picking up the bike on Friday, finally!!

New front springs, new tires, new transition (all the parts), new clutch, new Stator, Carpenter 265+ kit, crash bars installed, full custom dyno tune.

Total labor cost...about $1,000.

Sooooooooooooo excited!

Swung by to check on the big girl today.... there were complications during re-assembly.

Waiting on word from a couple of vendors, time to see who will stand behind their product!!

Three months and two days later, she's back home, but not quite done.

First, the transmission was indeed assembled wrong from the factory. It takes only a gentle flick of the toe to drop into each gear now, and the engagement sound is much more subtle, not a loud metallic clang. So main problem solved, if your R3R doesn't glide into each gear smoothly, it's wrong.

Wilbers springs are a perfect match for the Wilbers out back, no more sketchy, bouncy, dive during braking front end. Planted, confident, smooth with very little brake dive. Still supple and the suspension moves up and down at the same rate doing the press with hand test, wahoo, nice improvement.

Avon cobra out back delivered. No even a squirm under full power, leant over, in second gear, nice, very nice.

Carpenter clutch springs..... My left hand is going to be a vice in a few weeks, clutch pull is...harder than any other bike Iv ever pulled a clutch on.

Concerning the 265+ package, well, I wish I could have an opinion, but the head is currently back with Bob getting some repair work done. Not blaming Bob or my tech, but something was not assembled right and valves decided to develop a relationship with pistons in a bad way. So currently back in the saddle with only 153hp instead of 250hp, but, hey she still puts a smile on my face. Hopefully the new head is fixed and back soon.

Three months and two days, god I missed my rocket !!

This weekend's to do list:
Reinstall CES
Install Decosse keyless ignition
Reinstall Autotune and quickshifter
Remove front signals and replace with fork wrap signals
Reinstall TuneboyLIVE tune
Reaim headlights, new fork springs make front end higher a bit
Install Carbon Dry fender and flipmeister brake line clamps
Check all bolts and lines
Check oil, coolant, tire pressure
Install H&H pads up front
Add more titanium fasteners
Remove rear seat
Reinstall Angry Fly Screen
Install new GPS mount and GPS where old ignition was
Aaaand after that, try and get a few hundred miles of riding in!!

Edit: As a bonus, without me even asking or being charged for it, my tech removed the evap canister crap, the remaining intake hose I never bothered to remove, reorganized all the wiring to be better hidden and away from heat, balanced the TBs, used the mechanical tensioner instead of hydro, bled and purged the brake lines, cleaned my RAMAIR and reoiled it, and not a single mark on the bike or a single lost titanium fastener.
