I have the Tors exhaust and was wondering if a drop in K&N or K&N pods would help improve MPG? My stock air filter is looking a little dirty at 10,000 miles.. So thinking its time to change to K&N. Which is the better way to go? I like to keep the bear claw or whatever the chrome piece is called.

My warranty runs out in July so I will finally tune the bike myself (didn't want to void the warranty).

The K&N will provide negligible results. Any increase in air flow will require an increase in fuel, thus lowering mileage. When you switch to triples and add a corresponding tune expect your mileage to drop noticeably. Even more so if you change to Jardines. I routinely get right around 30 MPG.

I tuned my bike well before the warranty ran out. Only received compliments from the dealer staff, never an issue with warranty. That said I never had any internal engine issues.
