well thats something even the dealer could not tell me, it makes sense well then thats one thing off my list of things to change.

Personally I don't like "loud" pipes.. The R3T TORS are just right IMHO.. More punch and deep rumble without droning at speed.. Just did some dyno work with the Tuneboy and I'm pushing around 126hp using the TORS and K&N pods.. Very happy!

there is something about being heard first and then seen none the less I am in love with this bike I have put more miles on this one shorter than any other bike I have had given its winter now I hate to say what would have happened it I had waited to get it when it got warmer. I wish some one had a sound clip of the TORs on a R3T so I could get a little heads up

I have been looking at the tunes for the R3T and after looking at the ones they have out I think I will go with the TORs K&N and dealer tune. To get more the only thing I can figure out would be the 3 filters and some how getting that darn cat out from under the bike. Now I have had every sort of small animal under the bike and manage to loose them fast but this is the first time a cat has been stuck under a bike I have had and I cant figure out how to loose it

The first dyno runs I made were with the K&Ns and TORS with the factory TORS tune.. 107HP and the AF was up over 17:1 (really leaned out in upper RPM) should be around 13:1 or so.. If you don't have a Tuneboy or aren't going to do a power commander leave the filters alone..

Here's the chart with the K&Ns and TORS using a slightly modified Triumph TORS tune

Here's the same bike with a custom mapping for the K&Ns..

Note the AF curve is still a little lean but it's flatter and closer to the ideal (although not perfect)

I have only just begun to make changes to the bike it will take me a good little while to get it where I want it. Though I am not sure where it is that I want it so I am going with the easiest rout first I am bound to run in to what I want sooner or later.

I installed my TORS today after work. I'm much happier with the sound (at idle anyways). It sounds much deeper. Too cold to go riding tonight. It's supposed to be much nicer tomorrow, hopefully I get to go riding for a bit and see how they sound at highway speeds.

Triumph's exhaust gaskets are kinda clever IMO. Flexible insert with (what looks like) stainless steel to mate to the crossover.

Good to hear Mike. They do get a little louder after a few hundresd miles, but only marginally. They just have a slightly meatier sound. I take it you got the dealer tune ?

Pete
