Torque difference between bikes

Why race in a straight line? Find a 50 mile stretch of hills, curves and straightaways. Anyone with an IQ over 6 can go in a straight line. For skills and bike performance use a combination of roads. This will give an all round better look into what bike and rider perform better. A straightaway just sees which bike can go over 140. So what! Make it exciting, test yourself. How about the Dragon??
Racing on public roads is more about who is willing to take more risks rather than who (or what) is actually faster. And the only people I've met who actually think straight line speed contests are too easy/dimwitted are generally going slow enough to be correct.

My question was difference in feel of one type of motor vs another.
Went to ruler, measurement. Will be more careful with curious questions!
Oh it was a good question. I was curious about the by wire and the smoothness of the 2500s which are beast, ive ridden with some and they get down and pull hard.

You’ll learn that threads always go off in wild directions. It was a good thread but Sonny started his usual stuff and then it went off.

Straight line racing does not always prove one bike is faster than another and road or track racing is more dangerous but tests other aspects of a bikes performance. I hope nobody gets hurt or goes to jail trying to prove a point.

To your original question I love the torque of the big Rockets both old and new. It’s just plain fun.

Has there been any side by side comparisons between the older and newer bikes. You know, the back roads, 0-60 quarter mile stuff to see how the two compare. I know guys like Dr. D have both but has anyone rode side by side to test the difference and similarities. I would like to see a youtube type comparison on the two.👍

I have, the guys on the new bikes in twisties are effortles, dougl yogi dr d they really move and also from a start they have great acceleration. Dave scot n exile is a great rider and can do the same on his roadster. The new bikes are state of the art watching them. Id guess they are quicker than a stock 2300 from a start.

Effortless describes it well for me. It's like pepe le pu chasing the cat. Easy!

I need a qualifiedrider to come over and ride the old vs new comparison. I can tell you from my own riding the new one is much easier to ride in the corners. You’d better have a well modified older bike to even keep up in a straight line against the TFC,it is deceptively quick up through the gears. The rush of a 200+ Carpenter or Lush motor still will pull away in the higher rpms but not by much. I’ll get the new bike on a dyno someday.

Anybody want to come over for a day or two of comparisons?
