Time for a Texas Roll Call

OK, I just did 13 hrs straight delivering a truck from Fla. Very doable. The bikes need 10-15 min gas stops every 130 to 150 miles. Maps dates, a pre ride meeting for those of us gremies on this kind'a thing. This ride would be 13 weeks away. 58 hrs /4 rounds = 14.5 hrs ridding 60 mph rounds with 3, 4 hour feed and rest stops. Gota ride harder than that.

Is this team competition? Is there any competition? Gota compete maaan, gota compete.

This is not a team thing...very individual event. All Ironbutt stuff is individual in nature

Btw...when I rode the border to border from Mexico to Canada we did the first 1230 miles straight thru in 20 hours which averages out to 61.5 mph...including fuel stops

Would love to do that but not a qualified IBA member, would ride a partial or be support for the N. Texas part.

My medical staff has expressed an interest in doing this so I will probably take her on a qualifying ride prior to. All it takes to be an IBA member is 1000 documented miles in less than 24 hours. You can do it on a weekend.

Hey Slyanide.
I too would like to do the qualifier.

I was planning on a nice day ride this Saturday if you are interested. Wanted to go into AK but I think that will be a wash. Looks like westward will be the dry direction. 455 to Montague and who knows where from there.

Jay

Update: Anyone who would like to do a Saturday ride is welcome. I would like to do 300 - 500 miles. The AK weather forecast looks like it might be improving, if so let's head to Queen Wilhelmina. We'll have to see.
