Time for a new rear tire, car tire or bike tire ?

Without voicing an opinion one way or the other I'll make one observation.

Insurance agents and insurance claims adjusters are two separate things. A claims adjuster is not bound by anything an agent tells you. If it isn't spelled out clearly in your policy, one way or the other, you're at the mercy of the adjuster.

I have fought that battle and it isn't fun. Fortunately I won, but it was a $75,000 auto claim and if I lost it would kill my business model so I was willing to spend a lot to fight.

Yep, there's a right way and a wrong way. A square profile on a tire on a vehicle meant to lean back and forth is wrong. That some people do it anyway and don't mind wrestling their bikes into corners is another matter entirely. Some think sodomy is wrong and people do that too :D it's a free...ok, well, free-ish nation depending on where you are.

More censorship???

Someone above said, and I've been told before, that there's no such thing as a "car" tyre. Given that the Dark Side is something to do with Star Wars I'm at a loss to understand what it is we're not supposed to talk about in a thread where the OP sought advice on tyres for his Rocket.

Don't really think your idea of a "safe zone" is going to work, amigo. Are we going have other safe zones? Anything I post for example? Unless people are going to agree with something I post, they cannot comment? Don't think a public discussion forum works that way mate. ;)

What was meant here, my friend, was since the forum title is indeed, "The Dark Side", it is meant for discussions about car tire usage on Rockets.
As an example, what if on the Rocket Roadster forum folks were constantly hopping on and bashing others for not choosing a Touring model or visa versa?
If the knowledge of others using car tires on their motors keeps someone awake at night, they can start a thread called, "Why Car Tires on Motorcycles Suck" and on there discussion about the supremacy of motor tires on a motor can be engaged in by those on both sides of the fence. Or perhaps one, I would personal enjoy engaging, called, "Why Car Tires Are Better For Your Motorcycle".

FYI - I detest censorship in ANY form and especially any false accusation of my attempting censorship.
My post was merely an effort to promote civility and courtesy for the opinions of others.
I believe keeping personal feelings out and discussing actual facts and circumstances that can be substantiated works best in any argument.

I said NOTHING about limiting opinions.
Please change my words, "Safe Zone" to "Respect Zone".
Respectfully,
1olbull
