Thrilled and terrified!

Welcome! Lower an inch, change the seat, inserts in healed boots and you'll be right.

I've heard chipmunks ride pretty hard so you might want think about raising the pegs if you lower the bike - they scrape easily in stock position.
LOL. I may be 25 on the outside, but I'm a little old lady tatting lace holsters for her embroidered range bag on the inside. I'm a conservative rider, so I'm less worried about them scraping than reaching them. they are way out there on the '08 classic.

Keep the money in your account, more in your wallet will raise you up lol.

I'd bring the stock seat to an upholstery shop, and ask how much they could take off. Probably get a more comfortable seat at a better price.

I notice you found the "who's the shortest......" thread. I'd get in touch with some of the other vertically challenged members for some tips. Welcome aboard and good luck.
He already got in touch with me but i was no help

I was literally just researching that. Playing with the idea of doing it myself, too. (I'm a chronic do-it-yourselfer) I certainly have the stuff to get it done myself. Definitely going to read up on some tips, though. Plus saving that money will let me get some more platforms and go towards getting shorter shocks! Now if only I was mechanically inclined enough to install those shocks myself too... Safer not to try.

I would check Google & YouTube for tips and tricks on cutting and re-padding seats.

You're welcome bro. I'm just suggesting what I do before a DIY project. Seeing it on video helps me 1000 times more than reading it.

Steel, you are correct, they can tell me 1000 times and won't get it, i can see it once and i get it done!

You are the only Captain I've ridden with that can dangle their feet down beside the bike at 60 mph without fear of getting your leg torn off...if you couldn't help he's in a world of $hit
