I would be wary of any adhesive intended to hold with pressure from the underside trying to push it off - particularly 14 psi or greater experienced by a working radiator.

Still, there's no better testament than success, so if it works, who am I to argue ?

Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for the input. After much internal and external debate, I've decided to just replace replace instead repair. This way I know it will be without fail!

find the leak then figure out what to do.
water leak testers might have an adapter to fit the rocket i would pull the shroud and have some one with a tester to pump up the radiator to find the leak.

I had a crash in 2009 and the insurance company was charged $1400 to replace mine.
That IS a ridiculous price, but factory replacement parts usually are.
$600 isn't cheap, either.
