My oil tank started leaking at 32000 miles. The bike had sat outside for 10 years before I acquired it. I've put 12000 miles on it sice I got it back to roadworthy status. So, reading the shop manual that came with the bike I started removing everything the manual told me to remove in order to remove the oil tank. I also removed a few bits that the m,anual didn't mention but I thought had to be removed to access the oil tank bolts. Anyway got the 3 new O Ring installed and the tank back on the bike. But I have a couple pieces that for the life of me I can't remember where they go. I'll try to post the pictures here. along with what it looks like under the tank and the air intake tube. The big one is the bracket that mounts the idle control stepper motor on the front end of the throttle bodies.
The thin one goes on the back end of the throttle bodies, brackets it to the bracket that goes around/under the rear/cyl 3 intake rubber (which joins throttle to cylinder head)
Google images should help guide on what orientation etc they go in on, any difficulty give us a shout we can help


N.B. edited as I mixed up the thin one, that goes on other end of throttle assembly

Sorry but there is no need to remove either of these, to remove the throttle body assembly.
When you put the thing together again, you should hook up TuneECU and do an ISCV reset, and check throttle balance, having unsettled them with the work

I did remove the throttle cables from the engine side and the handlebar side according to the manual that said they have to be removed. They are back on the bike and seems to be adjusted properly with about 1 mm play. I tried to hook up my computer to the ecu because my bike has no catalytic converters, but has what appears to be the stock mufflers and they bike is way too loud for my tastes plus the backfiring on deceleration. I could not get my computer to accept the on line link for that. Oh well, I'm dead on my feet having started putting things back together since 07:30 this morning. Again very much appreciate your help and advice.

Well if you have the Triumph cable from www.lonelec.com, you can get the old Windows version of TuneECU for free, for the laptop.
Sounds like your bike needs a suitable map, there are plenty on here in the 'Resources' section, if a de-cat is all your bike has then even Triumph had a factory map for that.

Anyway once you get connected with TuneECU, these videos show how to set primary TPS / reset ISCV, and balance throttles (if they need balancing).
