I couldn't help myself. Just a couple more pictures. I really enjoyed the weekend. Dont ride beyond your abilities, but if you have ever been to the dragon you understand these are mostly 30 mph and less curves.
This was my nephew's farewell ride before he leaves for the Navy. That lean angle of the cbr can only be accomplished by an 18 yo with no fear or a complete dummy. haha He will be a navy diver so anyones guess what he is. lol
I had that happen this past winter on a 32 degree day, not sure if I grounded, causing the rear tire to slip out, or if the rear tire slipped, causing me to ground, but the back end was coming around to see what the front end was up to, I instinctively turned into it, and it stood back up like nothing ever happened. Not sure I could do it again in 100 tries.
Are you for real? Ride it how ever you want and think any type of road you like. If you're up to it, the bike's up to it. I love taking my Rocket on winding roads and wouldn't buy a sport bike even if my life depended on it. It's OK to be scared of these things; just don't expect everyone to be.
CanberraR3 mate I'm for real ... been riding a while now 45 + years and in many countries and my own country that has its fair share of bends /corners and I'm lucky to have some good stable companions to my Roadster. Now the fact you can make a Rocket whistle through the corners and if the the conditions are right I do. But the Rocket in any form is not a sports bike ... for me if I want fly through the twistys I'll jump on my Tiger 1050. I believe if you push the "Beast" to hard the outcome with all that weight wont be good .... ride safe eh!!
Your NUTTAMETER would blow out of scale with some of the riders here, Ogre comes to mind, then Lonnie, then Skip, and a few others, with me your nuttameter will be beloww half
