So, I went on my first decently long ride yesterday. Decided on a nickname for the rocket: Thighmaster. Not sure if my legs are just atrophied from being at home during the pandemic but, I got the work out of my life trying to keep my legs close to the bike.

Am I the only one? Further, can't find a lot about highway peg options. Anyone had similar experience? Any leads on options for the pegs? For that matter any thing in the way of frame savers?
I felt this way initially when pegs either in middle or all the way forward.
Pegs all the way back together with proper foot position on peg problem solved.

I get it that wider/longer pegs affects the lean angle but I would gladly sacrifice that for wider/longer pegs. If you lean into a turn and happen to scrape the pegs you better be exactly square on the little pegs and have zero boot sticking out. I'm surprised my ankles haven't snapped off by now. It friggin hurts and certainly wakes you up. The pegs on my 2014 Rocket were perfect but Triumph wanted a better lean angle so they shortened the length and width of the pegs (but charged you more)
Where are you? That you need to leaning a horse like a triumph rocket to be hitting foot pegs now I can't say I haven't tried to get a good sweeping turn but still never come close

I think this thread just shows how much Triumph should come out with a real touring bike with the 2500 engine. I'm actually surprised that they're not tapping into that market when they're so close to having a **** fine ride in that category.

I'm not trying to be rude, if it sounded that way
Well it was rude and after I cried I thought I would reply ;). You are exactly right on the lean angle. I purposely try to scrape the 'lean angle indicators' or nipples in turns and practicing tight U-turns and figure 8's every once in a while. It's a confidence thing that while in a tight turn the Rocket will lean over a lot further than you think it will so if I ever screw up and go into a turn too hot I have the confidence to lean further. In short I do it for practice although as I age I find I'm losing some of my skills and nerve it appears. It is in fact getting more difficult to ride like I use to. The pic is the right side of the Rocket. My 2014 Rocket was much easier to lean and grinding the pegs was more fun on it. Most all of the 'grinding' is a at slow speeds to practice control very little if any long grinding high speed turns.
