Regulator , I would do it the other way round if I was you , gives a nice sound with standard pipes and cat bypass .
Just my opinion

funny you say that, because that was my next question,
does it sound better with teh cat bypass pipe and stock pipes.

don't want too loud ( well she doesn't) but stock sounds soooo plain.

might have to slap the bypass pipe on and see, can always upgrade to more pipe later.

I agree! I have the cat bypass without TORs... Sounds meaner than the jap cruisers, but not obnoxious... Extra noise as made by most Hardleys and R3s with Jardines, TORs, etc. gets really old on long rides... At least for me.... My dealer stated that most of the extra performance comes from the cat bypass and associated tune code.... The TORs only add an incremental amount of performance.... He recommends them for people that want the sound and not necessarily that much more performance...

I had only the cat bypass for 6 months , liked the sound , but got used to it and decided to fit the tors , for a louder sound . 8)
