Just fitted the TOR pipes , quick and easy job apart from one clamp . Already had the bypass fitted , start up the bike , first thought wow thats loud , took it for a run and just love the sound , I even like the little bit of popping . Wish I had done this sooner , The bike now says get out of my way you ba##ards without saying please .

The wife is not so happy as she did not want any more noise .She even mentions a tractor in her description , silly cow . Love her to bits really .

Nice

She'll get over it, Mine did, only 2 weeks the "LOOK" when I buzzed off on the Bike.

Triples have a truly amazing sound. Deep and throaty yet happy to rev. Sounding great the whole time.

how sully got round cos last week his wife was at our house and she was no way gonna let him have the pipes i will ask her at our bike clubs xmas party on weds

I went for the Triumph pipes cos they were cheaper than the thunder ones , saving good sum of money which I said I would spend on her , hence I have new loud pipes . Also bunch of flowers the day before probably helped also .

Im not under the thumb , really .

Oh , and be nice wednesday , Mr DJ sir .

hello folks. it looks like triumph motor company has its own version of performance pipes, they call silencers ? it comes in "threes" and has no
removable end cap that i can see in the internet catalog. i wanted to try these with a cat bypass for better sound, while still keeping my rocket all
"triumph" as much as possible.
has anyone done this, and how is the sound compared to a stock set up ?

Cat bypass pipe and TORs. (Triumph Off Road) Many here have this or had this before Sardines and other aftermarket pipes. I have a bypass and TORs waiting to be installed. I too want to keep the Triumph Triumph for the most part, save for little bits.

So others have called the Rocket exhaust note like a tractor too. My neighbors said the same thing when I first put on the TORs and bypass.

I said, WHAT?! You've been listening to the put-put-putter-put of HDs too long! Me Mistress sounds like a screamin' she-devil to me.

People made cracks about it sounding like a motorboat or a tractor. Then we got the Jardines on. They crack wise, I rev it twice and from that point on I see the lips moving ... but I can't hear any annoying thing at all.  8)

so if people are installing TORs and then eventually moving to Jardines then there should be a bunch of used TOR's for sale.

My wife doesn't want any more noise either, thinking TORs' only and leave the cat box on might not make too much noise but still sound better.
