The Three Sisters, aka The Twisted Sisters

We are home safe...and another great ride is in the books. We enjoyed hanging with old friends and meeting some new ones. Thanks to everyone who helped changing the tube on the Yamaha tire and for just being your normal helpful selves. I don't think @1olbull s brother Dan is on this forum but a great guy that pulled my bisquits out of the fire by chasing down the tire tube before the bike shop in Kerrville closed. I was talking to Andy this afternoon and I think our next Texas adventure needs to be Big Bend National Park. This also marks the first time I've ever been to the sisters and not had a bike go down...little prayer of thanks to the motorcycle gods for that. Til next time...

Hey Morris No One went Down when we did it last year before going on to RAA X

Still still working my way back home. @breeze road almost 200 miles to hook up with me in Jemez Springs, New Mexico! we had a great ride back to his place in Bloomfield New Mexico and I'm spending the night on the couch after being treated to an awesome home cooked meal but his wife, Karen.
What terrific forum members we have here. I am proud to be a part of this group!

Yeah, but there were only 4 of us. Anytime, other than this recently past time that is, that I've ever been on the sisters with a large group somebody has always gone down. We had twenty bikes on this last run and there were varying skill levels among the riders. Bikes strung out over a couple of miles almost as soon as we got on the road. Every time we stopped to re-group I was expecting to hear that the tail end of the pack had stopped to assist a fallen rider.

Something you dont see every day!!:eek::eek:

Were are OK. We went north west on 10 and south on 41. Beautiful ride. Cathy led us and it was one of the best stretches of road I have even ridden. Lupe; sorry I missed you to say Bye, C U Soon. Thanks to all that helped me with my tire pressure and wear issue. Tex, the pre-ride pep talk helped. It made us get our guards up. Chuck and I quickly realized that we are novices as far as twisties is concerned. We can't wait to meet with this fine group again and learn some more about how to ride the rocket. Cindy, Cathy is shopping for a Spider so she can chase you!

We will be going to Jacksonville next week to see my son and his family. He is building by the beach in Ponte Vedra. This will be our Rocket Riders east coast landing spot to launch north or south from. More on that to come.

Recently a friend of 30 years was complimenting me for how I had done in life. I explained to him...
I take no credit for my present stance in life. Life has been very forgiving of my mistakes.
I have been fortunate to have meet men that have compensated for my ineptitudes and have been surrounded by strong, wise and intelligent women.
My son has worked himself into a wealthy sage and invited me into his house.
To this day I believe that I have a personal Guardian Angel to whom still pray to watch over me like a child at bed time.

Looking forward to ridding with all of you again soon.

What a great post Rick! Later that evening after the 3 sisters, I was talking to Andy's (40mmrrsmith) lovely wife, Pam & she was telling me that before the ride she had prayed for our protection that morning. I told her that I do that before ever throwing a leg over a bike every morning & that morning I had asked for our Guardian Angels to protect our entire group & all others out there :)
And as R3Tex said: nobody went down......... :whitstling:
I BELIEVE :notworthy:
