The Problem Facing Harley-Davidson

One of the issues I didn't like about the new Harley is that any non-Harley mod voids the warranty, such as exhaust other than Screamin Eagle.

Stopped and looked at the fat bob 114 a month ago! May have to stop by in the spring for a ride. Liked the look just need to take a ride. Still would keep the rocket but adding 1 to the stable could be an option!

I've had my eye on one of these also. With the VRSC gone from HD's lineup, the 2018 Fat Bob with 114 is the only one I'd consider. I will test ride one soon.

Ain't nuttin' wrong with HD T-Shirts . . . I have many that were gifts that I wear.

WOW Anthony!
Talk about your "Monkey intercoursing a Football" . . .

I was all over the Harley forums when I bought my 2006 Sportster, and by far, this here forum is the most respectful and knowledgeable bunch of great people I've ever come across. When I used to go back to the stealership, after paying top price for my 883 sportster, I was treated like a second class citizen. NEVER again.

I would buy a Harley... if it had a CNC billet full S&S motor, 160CI, supercharged, 200+ HP, and drank 87-92 octane and could cope with stop and go traffic heat.

So basically, a full on custom bike, that offered everything a stock Harley can’t.

I have to admit, big bore vtwins with pipes sound sooooooooo good to me.

These days though, I’d buy a Diavel or Super Duke before an HD, all the vtwin sound, none of the land pirate culture. The “outlaw” culture doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest, and going “cruising” with big groups going under the speed limit is not my idea of a good time.

Just my .02 ( yes I am fully aware I’m anti-social).

Ha! That’s what traded in to get the Rocket. Actually it as a built 110 SE Fatbob that would eat that new 117 bike on the showroom. I’m not dishing the HD just saying I came from the opposite direction you might be going.

For a couple more years, my next bike plans are up in the air. Until the 2018 HD softies were announced, the Super Duke GT, Diavel and FZ 10 were at the top of the list. I don't see any of those 3 leaving consideration.
