I must say I am very disappointed in the direction this thread has taken, I was expecting a perfectly good round of Harley bashing and Indian bashing

A lot less than the Indian.
I think they gave him around $12,000 Canadian for the Harley. Harley's do seem to retain more value on trades. I wouldn't buy one though.

I think the new indians like cvo harleys are just rich boys toys. incredibly overpriced for what you get. All they really do well is shout "look how much money I spent". So many better, more practical options if the priority is riding.

That is true but I'm glad the option is there. It's a much smoother running machine than the Harley was but I like the Harleys too. It just is what it is. Me personally would like a 4 cylinder Rocket in Goldwing trim.
