VAT is no different to SALES TAX. Within the EU (The EEC is long gone) it is applied at point of sale and is NOT redeemable to a retail purchaser, independently of country of residence inside the EU.
B2B sales are made without application of VAT where both parties are VAT registered (i.e dealer) VAT differs country to country. There is a minimum 15%. Germany I think you'll find is now 19% UK iirc 21%, Spain 20% and Denmark 25%. Postal charges CAN BE subject to VAT. Not withstanding US purchases should be VAT exempted. Calling DanMedica by phone will put you in touch with a nice lady called Lynne who takes the calls from her home in Cyprus - I said they're odd. If you have Skype - use it. They also have a Skype account.
Ah yes America and it's failure to pay us royalties. No Kings no Queens - Ruled by a man who seems to wear a nice rug.
