by the way can you tell me the size in mm of the three oil drain plugs I am thinking of putting the sumitomo quick drain plug as replacement unless you think it is not a good mod..being the authority that you are..

Hey I'm no Authority just fussy what I use bugger the cost as for the "Sumitomo Quick Drain plugs, a) I have never heard of them. b) as long as they don't hang down any further then the originals do why not (I have scraped my forward drain plug on a bloody speed hump or two) have you got a link to these plugs? and I am sorry but not sure about size also the oil tank plug in the centre has an O ring part way up so is slighty unusal possibly not replaceable with the quick drain plug but check with them they may make a replacement I honestly dont know

Had look, not for me it would stick out to far, It would be good for a car but a bit risky on the Rocket and not just from speed humps I think it would be a bit susceptible to rocks being thrown up by front wheel... just my opinion for what it is worth

you are right speed bump could ruin the day if a trail of oil is all that 's left to lubricate the internals

Yep, still on the Wing. Made it up to Yellowstone and as far north as Jackson Montana this year. I've also got an FZ 1 and a Tenere to occupy my time. I miss the uniqueness of the Rocket I must say. Great to hear from ya!
