Thank you - First tune - 2015 R3T

AndyK,

Just took a few days off. Did 571 miles in southern Indiana with Hanso's tune. Averaged between 31 to 36 MPG per tank. Interstate, backroads, and state roads.
Lovin every minute of it.
That's some good MPG! How do you like the TORS not that you have a few miles on them?

My total mileage over the last 3 days was 572. That was pretty good considering most of it was on scenic roads.

I like them. I am not going to say they are real loud, but the bike has a voice now and I can hear it. She definitely has a growl.

Kinda like I tell my Harley friends," Well if you cannot be fast you might as well be loud."

Heh, this is what I tell myself while riding my Suzuki DR 650RS. She sure is loud and slow compared to the beast. I had to put the db-killer back in the silencer since otherwise she made children cry bypassing them on the streets. Friend of mine on his Harley said he had to leave like a 100 meters distance behind me ´cause of the terrible noise. He could not hear his own bike anymore.

Back to the Rocket world; I believe the TORs are loud enough. The only modification I have been thinking of is to replace the collector box with a better flowing one. I do not think it makes the beast too loud. The only thing is the cost; 350€ for a piece of pipe is alot if you ask me.

I know a few folks on here have gone to a local muffler shop and had them make a replacement. The only thing that would concern me is the quality of the work.

Finland is a (relatively) large country with only few people so I only found one company making custom exhaust pipes and stuff. It´s like 220km from Helsinki so I don´t want to drive over for nothing. Better to call or email them first. This is getting interesting...
