Try and make it up Mt Wellington Les ..sh!tty weather or not , views are spectacular as is the mountain itself. Port Arthur is a trip hey .. the British must have been the cruellest race ever to suck wind I reckon. Takes an evil sick mind to dream up a place like that. Beautiful place but f#ckin sure the original habitants would not have thought so. Silent prison next door the insane asylum , chained together dragging logs through the scrub .. all most of the convicts did was steal a loaf of bread, clothing or some other petty crime.

And if they hadn't? Interesting to contemplate what the world would be like without any of the European colonisation.

A few things really stick in my mind about the prison at Port Arthur. Cells made so small that a person couldn't fully stretch out and a chapel with individual compartments so no prisoner could see another. Apparently it wasn't bad enough to transport them and lock them up for their their lives had to be made as uncomfortable and miserable as possible. I don't think there were too many halal meals being specially prepared.......

Yea thought it was best to tether it to the bike as we borrowed the grips from the Maylasian guy who is tripping around the world, we are on the same sailing back to the main land at the end of the week so we will give them back.
I did look to see if the R3 would fit.

Best part is the girl at the front desk her partner had a Tig welder and welded it back together last night

Was going to do a run back up to Queenstown and up the hill but the weather set in up that way so decided to jump on a float plane and have s look around
