T3880059 Cable Interface to PC

those cables are there to fix and diagnose rocket issues. You can any OBD2 cable to fix the issue but you need software as well, there are 4 softwares in market right now
1 Tuneecu
2 Dealertool from UK
3 Tuneboy
4 OEM triupmph TriTun software

All software have their own limitations. For example Dealertool can reset your 'service light' which only Triumph Tritun can do, while Dealertool can not flash any engine map but Tuneecu can so its about what you want to do with bike.
Thanks for the info @sunny

Just wanted to have the best software/cable combo.

If you want just get Dealertool cable and software both from UK that would do for repair and maintenance. if you want to modify/tune engine for more power then get Tuneecu as well. Dealertool is like 80 GBP with cable and licensed software.

Pls guide one more thing that is there anything like software update of the bike which updates the UI of the TFT like updates on the mobile ?

Sorry for the silly question

The dealer has to do this. Like your mobile, this happens automatically when the mechanic connects the Triumph diagnostic tool to your bike. This is what they told me.

Thanks for your response.

Actually I am in Pakistan and there is no Triumph dealership here. Wanted to do this by my own.

I would get both Dealertool and TuneECU (and Android tablet and OBDLink LX).

You’re kind of screwed if Triumph puts out firmware or software updates that you need, which is probably unlikely. I would contact Triumph in the UK and ask them if you have options.

Is Triumph OEM software available? I’ve never heard of anyone using it.

Yeah I've used it to unlock new ECUs so they can be remapped etc. That's one thing the non OEMs cannot do.
Nobody uses it because it costs like 4 figures. Except dealers because they have to use the official OEM.

What ECU’s are locked to TuneECU? Did you buy a Triumph diagnostic tool also?

Good afternoon r3owners group,
I have both TuneECU, and Dealertool, im getting close to changing my tire on my 20R3, would any of these tools enable the
TPMS Sensors, I’m thinking about adding these before I mount the tires.
Why I ask, I haven’t used either tool yet…..
Thanks !
Dan

Since around Mar 2013 (I think) Triumph began locking ECUs from the factory, both spare parts ones and ones in new bikes. They stay locked until they get to the dealer/customer, where a dealer unlocks them using the Triumph software.
This is an anti theft measure.

If you buy a replacement ECU, the bike will be dead until its mapped. If you try map it using say TuneECU, it will just give a DTC code for incorrect map, and the bike won't run.
It has to go to a dealer, or a cowboy like me with the software, to unlock it. Then it can be mapped by whoever, e.g. Triumph software, TuneBoy, TuneECU.
