Suddenly a new contender

That would be cool, but I was thinking about a module plugged into the OBDII port that is monitoring the bike, and only opens the valve in Sport or Rider mode, and when the Rozzers pull you over, a quick mode change to Road mode as you're stopping and it's silent and smooth again.

Relatively simple for someone who knows how to program devices to listen to CANbus. 5v logic chip, a solid state relay, 12v to 5v buck converter and a few capacitors. Probably....$10 in components, max. Actually, an on second thought, a micro sized arduino can do all of it easily enough.

I'm not volunteering but there are a few members on the site that are capable of building this, fairly easily once the data signal flags to set road and rain mode are found.

Probably...like...30 minutes of coding work lol.

Ooooh you're sneaky.......

Replying to myself to update that I've got one on the way. Shipping seemed fairly reasonable (for Australia to the US). Hopefully I can knock out all the other projects I have stacked up so I can get it installed quickly once it gets here.
Are you happy with these after having them for a bit? I'm looking at grabbing these sometime in the next few months, but was hoping someone who had purchased them could chime in if they are happy with them after testing them out for a bit.

Hi FJS,

Yes, still happy with the purchase. They went on fairly easy and have performed great. No issues with the switch changing from quiet to loud mode.
It also looks like the price has come down on them - they still aren't cheap, but less that what I paid ~6 months ago.

It was warm enough last week to get out a couple of times, snapped a pic after one of my rides.

My set just showed up today. Excited to get them on, but want to make sure I get it right the first time. Did you have any issues or tips for install? They didn't come with any sort of instruction for removing the stock exhaust or hooking these up.

I might have had to email them to get them to send me instructions. They weren't very extensive, but it was fairly straightforward.

One thing I'd probably do differently is they showed the the switch mounted on the right handle bar. I'll probably move it to the left at some point. More opportunity for the left hand to be free and hit the switch when needed.

Do you by chance have a copy of them still? If so, could you send them to me? It doesn't seem to allow me to put my email address in here, but I can send you an IM with it if you still happen to have the instructions they sent.

Hey, sorry. Was out of town over spring break and didn't have a chance to respond.

I went back through my email exchanges with Vandemon and while I asked about more detailed instructions, it doesn't look like they ever sent anything.

I saw on Facebook that someone had completed their Vandemon install, so hopefully that was you and you are all set.

I did manage to get it installed although I was a little unsure of where the best places to run the wiring were so made as best a decision as I could about it. Thanks for getting back to me. I left for vacation right after you got back it seems. Here is mine with the new exhaust installed

Glad to hear you got it completed.

Which side did you mount the switch on?
