Still not starting in cold whether. Anyone have idea what I can try next.

Actually you are just exchanging the electric motor of the car starter with the Triumph one as it is a higher KW motor for colder weather.

I am a lifelong electrician and work up to 230K volts, I understand all that Warp. Thanks though, some others may have not understood the particulars. Just because I am Southern doesn't mean I am trailer park trash oxycodone stupid I swear I don't know why I come here sometimes.

I remember having a start problem with my 1500 vulcan, in the summertime in Florida. on occasion without warning the motor would crank and crank and just would not start...Then if I jumped it with a car battery, it would start right up....IMO I think the battery has the cranking power to turn the engine over, but the voltage drop during the cranking is too low for the ECU to deliver the info to the engine(spark, fuel,etc.). I thought about adding a small battery with a relay to feed the ECU only while cranking and let the regular battery turn the starter. I sold the bike before I had the chance....I think "barbagris" may have an alternative using a small lithium battery...Also a thinner oil for winter use may help as well.

Hey dude sorry I prefer the south myself still own a house in Virginia. But work turned me into a **** Yankee. As for Oxycodone I have no opinion except I use it as prescribed by the doctors. Can't do Trialers up here they are a Tornado magnet

My post sure was not meant to belittle you or upset you I will crawl back in my hole and keep my opinions and or suggestions to myself.

Truth is Triumph is protecting you from that cold weather by no letting the Rockets to start in that insane cold weather

If I undestood well the best solution is to change the starter motor and not to change anything else?
I have problems with temperatures about 50ºF, the rocket starts fine in my garage but after 8 hours at 50º or below at work its imposible to start it up.

From what I gather people have replaced the negative wire between battery and bike with something beefier, then replaced the starter with something beefier and then tried various batteries.

My Shorai 36 has been pretty much flawless for 2 seasons, but I have never had to start the bike when it was much colder than about 10 degrees C (50 f). Down to that, my bike just starts, no muss no fuss.

If the Shorai has serious cold-weather issues for others, there's another option besides AGM - Ballistic Parts. Price goes up another $100 (!) but so do the stats.

Though the closer one gets to 0 degrees F, I suppose the less desirable LiFePo4 becomes.
