Read the books, watch any number of videos and do it yourself. Rainman may have a link to the guy that sells shop manuals too. Awesome resource. You will appreciate your machine even more when you do the work.

I personnaly avoid high flow oil filters after seen a few reviews online. Seams to me the gain in horsepower is all marketing and hype. For what you gain you lose in added filtration. Ill stick with the filter that filters the oil.

I haven't seen negative reviews. They love them on bitog. They are just k&n without the nut on the end. (Before k&n moved to china and got banned from moto racing

Buy yourself a torque wrench if you do not already own one and USE it, the crush washers can be used multiple times as long as you use the correct torque settings .
Yeah. I did that. Got a good deal on a torque wrench from Harbor Fright. Trouble is, it goes to 20 Nm and torque spec is 26 Nm...

Good Lord that’s a lot of money for a 10K service. I’ve never paid anything like that and I ride Harley and Indian.

Thanks all for the input. I knew you'd come thru. I'll aquire the necessary supplies over the next week or so and have at it. It's finally starting to get dry enough to enjoy riding in Florida!

Get a 3/8" drive it should go lower .
IMG_0235.JPG This works good. Not offered at Harbor freight. Not very expensive but Dead Nuts.

From what i have seen all high flow filters are the same size as napa/wix/oem filters. Meaning there must be less filter material “thickness” to allow more flow. Now id be happy with a high flow filter is it was larger then the normal good quality filters. Larger would allow a thicker filter with more surface area to allow more flow. But we dont see those. What we do see is a lack of metal screen mesh and larger inlet/outlet holes. With a less thick filter. My buddy put a k&n filter on his bike and then did a 5k oil change. He did not replace filter becuase he thought it was a high quality high flow oil filter. He said he would change it at 10k. I scratched my head in disbelief and was like dude No! You need to change that K&N sooner then 5k because it doesnt have the ability to catch more dirt. I guess ill have to cut a few filters open and post them online.
