Triumph Rocket 3 Touring,
Has anyone ever replaced the stepper motor? I have just replace mine, followed the instructions in the TuneEcu description, but now it is all screwed up. My bike will not fire when turning on..
What I have done;
Measured the gap between the roller and stepper to 0,5mm
Reset adaption.
Adjusted both tps to reccmmended values. it still not fires.
What have I missed?

Why did you replace the stepper?
I had last year erratic idle issues, replaced the TPS, but it did not help. it also does not show any reactions on the tuneEcu when turning the nut either ways.
Same thing with the new one.. So I am scratching my head and have no clue..

So the original problem was a rough idle, and after replacing the stepper motor now it won't start at all?

Will need to start with basics and run through the lot, would this video help at all

Yes I followed this setup.. but in Android it is different than with the old windows version. I do not get any values when turnin the nut on the stepper either way... In the adjustment section, I am only able to adjust the secondary stepper to 0.6. For the other one I have to look at the Sensor page.

in this video it seems like he is using and old android version. When I go the adjust section and first adjust the TPS, it works. When I go the next step, no matter how much I loosen or tighten the nut it gives no values.. It stays at the same as the previous- on 0,601..
In the manual it says under the Test section that giving command to Adjust ISCV it will give the command to close the throttles. I see the stepper goes all the way in and then out again, which gives me a hard time adjust the gap 0.5 mm. i guess this is my issue... because in order to get the 0,5 mm gap I had to completely tighten the nut.. which I guess again gives the wron signals..
Any suggetions?

Have you followed the Triumph manual step by step for stepper motor install and adjustments to its nut and TPS positioning?

Yes, I do have the Triumph manual, and have tried to follow step by step - but I do not have the Triumph diagnostic tool.... I run the TuneEcu..

What were the TPS values as you found them, and also when you left them?

And have you tried putting back old stepper motor to see if it goes back to just problem #1?

No, I have not tried to put back the old stepper motor. I do not remember what the old TPS values was... after replacing the stepper motor I adjusted all according to instructions.. the plugs fire, but it is completely off and will not run..
